ABOUT ZOË
Zoë Bible Church Of Enid, Inc also known as Nurturing Children in Christ Ministries is
designed to teach and train Christians to live in the God kind of life. Its main focus is to raise
up a generation of believers who know who Christ is in them and live in the complete
awareness of who they are in Christ. This can be summed up in the words of the Apostle Paul’
s revelation “Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).” Thus, Zoë’s main thrust is to
teach believers to be God inside minded. Our motto is this “no ordinary ministry, no ordinary
faith, the ministry of our Lord Jesus, and the Faith of our Father God, so expect a miracle and
expect to perform the miraculous.
Zoë Bible Church of Enid, began in the Home of Rev. Cornelius and Dr. Willie Nell Pitts on
February 27, 2000 in the Willow West Subdivision. Approximately 25-35 people filled the Pitts’
household every week for the teaching of the Word of God and a fellowship meal that was
prepared for any and everyone that wanted to have lunch after service. When Zoë reached its
peak in the home of the Pitts, a special miracle was performed in order to further its growth
and development.
This miracle came in the form of Pastor Cornelius becoming acquainted with Pastor Jerry
Galbreath, pastor of University Place Christian Church. Pastor Jerry invited Zoë and Pastor
Cornelius to share their facility at 2107 E. Broadway. Since Dec. 2001, Zoë Bible Church and
University Place Christian Church has shared a unique but God ordained relationship in the
sharing of the same building and the camaraderie of reaching into the same community with
the gospel of our Lord Jesus through demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and distributions of the
love of God. These demonstrations and distributions are evident in their evangelistic
outreaches, ministry to the poor through food, meals clothing and others, and readiness to
serve each and every person at the point of his or her needs. This unique relationship and
community service shared by Zoë Bible Church and University Place Christian Church is
wonderfully summed up in a corner stone set in the foundation of University Place Church
building that says, “Dedicated to the Glory of God and to the services of mankind.”
The church then acquired the present building at 729 E. Maine St. from Christ The King in
July of 2003. We are a progressive church commissioned to develop the believers’ life in
Christ. The teachings that come forth here at Zoë Bible Church are simplistic in nature and
aimed at teaching bible basics as well as fuller truths from God’s word. We have a
Wednesday night service called The Hour of Power the youth meet in a separate classroom
with the youth leaders. On Sunday mornings, we have a class called Getting A Grip On The
Basics, that is open to all, especially the members of the church. This course last 12 to 14
weeks, it gives the believer a good working knowledge of the word of God.
Zoë Bible Church continues to focus on Christian growth and development. One of its short
term goals over the next few years is to establish cell ministries all over Enid and its
surrounding areas in order to assist in its major goal, which is to reach the lost at any cost
and to teach that he or she truly is a child of God.
We are available to you at anytime. You may reach Pastor Cornelius or a member of the
pastoral staff at the church number. If no one is available to you when you call please leave a
message and someone on the staff will get back with you. Again, it so wonderful to have you
in our midst and we look forward to having you again. Be blessed.
